What We Know About 2023 Kitchen Design Trends

Updated: Jan 30, 2023

Remodeling your Kitchen has become an important next step to improving your home, especially since the pandemic. A lot of people are still working from home and staying in instead of going out to eat. The Kitchen is a room that people spend a lot of time in, especially with family or while entertaining guests, and it is finally getting the attention it deserves. The following is a list of new 2023 Kitchen Design Trends that homeowners are starting to adopt.

1. DESIGNER LIGHTING

Adding different types of lighting to your Kitchen can make it feel more warm and welcoming. You can swap out basic lights with designer light pieces above your Kitchen island or Kitchen table, and make it the room's focal point. Don't forget about lighting inside or underneath your cabinets. Even a minimalist design can compliment the most basic cabinets.

2. HANDLELESS DESIGNS

The latest modern kitchen ideas are all about multi-tasking, free-flowing designs with a paired-back look. Technological advances in push-open and close doors means that it has become possible to dispense with handles in both wall and base cabinets. If you prefer not to have push-open cupboards, then recessed handles provide the same sleek look. It is all about simplicity and a focus on cabinetry details.

3. NATURE & NEUTRAL COLORS

People are moving away from the all-white Kitchen in favor of cabinets that are bold and adventurous. The colors that are trending the most are Sunny Yellows, Nature-inspired Greens, Rich Earth Tones, Warmed-up Grays, and Bold Blacks. Just by changing your island or bottom cabinet colors only, requires less commitment but still offers a statement.

4. SHINY TILE BACKSPLASHES

Backsplashes are important to have in a Kitchen, especially behind sinks and stoves. Splashes of water, grease, food, and other elements can stain and discolor a wall. Glaze finishes are much easier to clean than matte finishes, and they reflect light all around the room. If you want to be super trendy, opt for rectangular tiles that are metropolitan style.

5. STATEMENT SEATING

This is where the kitchen perch comes into its own; informal seating for a quick coffee or checking emails. Simple and modern bar stools for islands make a big difference and add a nice touch to a trendy Kitchen.
